Concept and development
Because of the required flexibility of use, spans of 14.4 metres had to be bridged with a composite structure. Special value was placed on the architectural design of all intersections and connections. It was necessary to develop a development and building concept which can be flexibly adapted to changing requirements in the spaces needed for offices, logistics and production. The goal was to integrate the new structures into the inner city environment, to link them with the existing buildings and to develop uses which would be in harmony with the surrounding residential buildings. Therefore the location needed to have an office character in spite of the production and high bay warehouse facilities which were to be included.
